I did not grow up confident, athletic, or naturally lean. I spent years overweight, stuck in the binge-restrict cycle, chasing every quick fix I could find. I hated exercise. I only played sports to socialise. My body image shaped everything, my confidence, my choices, how I saw myself.
In my late teens, I found resistance training. Not because I was good at it. Because it gave me something to build. I slowly repaired my relationship with food and stopped chasing fast weight loss. I started building strength and structure instead.
